A Lesson You Can Learn From...Eating

in #food6 years ago

Did you ever notice how you're always preparing the next bite, instead of enjoying what you're already chewing in your mouth? Remember this post the next time you eat, you'll see what I mean.

This gives us a philosophy of living.

We're too fast these days. No time for anything, yet everything needs to be done. There's really no point in doing everything, when you experience doing none of those.

But how was the taste? Did you chew enough times for aiding your digestion?

Do you remember the time when you actually could taste things?

Think back to your childhood when you ate that candy. Don't you remember how you would completely "get" the taste of it? Like, you actually tasted it. I observed that I haven't been doing that since a long time. I don't even remember when I stopped tasting things. Must be when computers came into my life. Or was it even before, when TVs were around?

So the culprit is distraction.

The day we started eating while watching something else is the day we stopped tasting our food.

Imagine! You have the ability to taste such a huge variety of things, and yet you don't!

Picture This

That's like a guy with perfect eyes choosing to see the world in only black and white. What a stupid guy right?

That's you!

To Do List:

1. Talk about taste

2. Make fun of reader

3. Info on eating

Try These When You Eat

  • That first bite, just keep the food in the mouth. Don't chew. Just let it be. You'll start salivating. Science says that's a good thing.
  • Chew the food 24 times, minimum. That's right. Each bite.
  • Look at the food when you put it into the mouth.
  • Do you even smell bro? Get a whiff of that stuff you're 'bout to eat.
  • Leave the spoon when there's food in the mouth; focus on chewing the food in the mouth. (As opposed to preparing the next bite)
  • Slow tf down man. What's the hurry? This ain't an eating contest.

Comparing The Way We Eat Nowadays, To Life

We can say that, just the way we eat hurriedly, so are we going through our days.

When you actually slow down, the experience of things becomes richer. You don't race in the country side.

Time to start tasting our food; our life.

This post sounds like an essay.
