Preparation Of Dum Biryani in less than an hour.

Preparation of Dum Biryani for 5 members.
Ingredients:

  1. Basmati Rice.
  2. Chicken
  3. Spices ( Bay Leaf (dried), biryani masala, Cardamom, Salt, Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Green Chilli, Mint, Coriander leaves, Cinnamon, Cloves, Cumin, Garlic, Fennel)
  4. Ghee
  5. Curd
  6. Onion
  7. Tomato
  8. Lemon
  9. Oil

Steps of preparation

  1. Marination of chicken.
    a) Chicken as per member or 1/2 kg.
    b) Make cuts on chicken pieces for better marination.

    c) Mix paste of below spices like
    i) Biryani masala - 1.5 tea spoon,
    ii) Chilli powder - 2 tea spoon,
    iii) Turmeric power - 1 tea spoon,
    iv) Curd - 100 gram,
    v) Salt - 1.5 tea spoon ( or as per taste)

    d) Now rub the spice paste on chicken thoroughly and keep for about 15 - 20 minutes.

  2. Preparation of brown onion.
    a) Take 100 grams of sliced onion and deep fry until its color turns brown.

  3. Preparation of gravy with chicken
    a) Take about
    i) 50 grams of onion and 100 grams of tomato,

    ii) Cardamom 5 pieces,
    iii) Cloves 5 pieces,
    iv) Cumin 1/2 spoon,
    v) Bay Leaves 3,
    vi) Fennel 1/2 spoon,
    vii) Cinnamon 3 pieces,
    viii) Salt 1.5 spoon
    ix) Garlic 5 pieces
    x) Green chillies 3-5 (chopped)
    and fry them for about 10 -15 minutes
    b) Now fry it for about 15 minutes.

    c) Now add marrinated chicken with fried ingradients and fry it for 7-8 minutes.

  4. Preparation of basmati rice.
    NOTE: This step will go along step 3.

    a) Put basmati as per quantity (5 cups for five-member)in rice cooker and put water ( two cups for each basmati rice cup ) in cooker and mix the Bay Leaf (dried) - 5 leaves, Cloves - 5 pieces and Cinnamon - 2 pieces in it and keep stirring until water gets fully absorbed in rice.

  5. Mixing of rice and chicken
    a) Take a pressure cooker and apply 2 spoons of ghee to the bottom.
    b) Now take cooked basmati rice make a layer in a pressure cooker.
    c) Put chicken pieces ( step 4.a) on layered rice and also put some green mint coriander leaves and also put some browned onion form step 2.a
    d) Now again make another layer of cooked basmati rice step 5.b and repeat until all chicken and rice is finished.

  6. Last step
    Now put pressure on gas with low flame for about 20 - 25 minutes.
