There is a competition here called #foodfightfriday or #fff. What they do is get people to just use the hashtags and it enters the post into their competitions. You can win Steem and SBI prizes as well as get more eyeballs on your content and more upvotes. You are more than welcome to join in the fun. I think they just want people to submit their posts on the Friday, USA time.
