Turkish Grape Molasses Cookies (sugar-free)
Grape molasses (Pekmez) is a very common ingredient in Turkish cuisine, especially if you want to avoid using sugar. Historically speaking, it was one of the first sweeteners before cane sugar and honey in the Middle East and Mediterranean region.
Generally, grape molasses are mixed with tahini, which as a result, make people feel warm and energized throughout the day. However, there are several other ways that grape molasses can be used. You can pour it over your pancake, waffle, or you can make a different kind of desserts out of it. Today, I choose to bake cookies which resulted in a very delicious and light snack. The best thing about this recipe is that it contains no sugar, only 100 ml grape molasses.
I found a video for the recipe which has English descriptions also, so you can try it out :)
