10 Itens you can only find in Brazil

Hello fellow steemians… with this post I’d like to share with you 10 items that really represents the Brazilian culture and that you can only find here in Brazil.
With a very fertile soil, we have plenty of different fruits that you really should try, at least once in your lifetime and we are specialist on handcraft items, specially in the Northeast region. So, I will post here and I hope you to tell me what you think about.

  1. Renda Renascença

    You can find it on the Northeast Brazil... lots of items as clothes, wedding dresses, towels, carpets etc.
  1. Capim Dourado (Golden Grass)
    It's a natural fiber that people use to make earrings, bags, clothes, hats, necklaces, and many others. Typical from the central area of the country.

  2. Redes de dormir (Hammocks)
    The natives in Brazil used this hammocks for sleeping, and is very common to find these in Brazilian houses.

  3. Crochê
    Similar to the Brazilian Lace, this is made with a line and a needle... very common to find clothes, shoes, bikinis, carpets and different crochê decoration items

  4. Bonecos de barro. (Clay Dolls)
    Very common on Pernambuco State, you can actually find lots of items made of Clay, but the dolls are the most known in the region.

Now the fruits...

  1. Jabuticaba
    It's like a black cherry, very sweet and you can find liquors, jams, deserts and caipirinhas made with this fruit.

  2. Pitanga
    It's a small sweet orange/red fruit that people use to make Oils, for Hair treatments, making perfume and for medicines as well.

  3. Maracujá (Passion Fruit)
    This sour yellow fruit with its small seeds is very used in juices, deserts, drinks and for medicinal treatment for stress and insomnia.

  4. Atemóia
    It's a very exotic fruit from the Northeast region, not that sweet and with a thick texture. I don't actually like this one hahaha but there's a lot of people who does.

  5. Seriguela
    From the North and Northeast region, very acid and sweet fruit. Also very difficult to find.

PS: I haven't mentioned Açaí cause you can find frozen açaí in other countries already.

So, have you ever tried any of these? Or ever heard about it? Or have you find it somewhere else besides Brazil?
I'm curious to know.

Gostei de ver mencionados varios itens que tenho o previlegio de poder disfrutar no meu quintal aqui no nordeste onde vivo tenho as Atas fruta que adoro, tenho Maracuja, e pego as siriguelas no terreno do vizinho ;).
no alpendre da minha casa tem sempre varias redes onde da para descansar e fujir da quentura medonha como chamam aqui ao calor.
Aqui na Praia de Morro Branco a 80 km de Fortaleza no Ceará tem uma rendeira que todos os dias nos presenteia com o seu trabalho de renda de birros. Permita que corrija estas rendas não são exclusivas do Brasil pois tem sua origem em Portugal onde são tradição desde o seculo XIX e conhecidas como Rendas de Bilros de Peniche apesar de serem feitas em varias regioes de Portugal do Norte ao Alentejo

This is really interesting.
I've never even heard of Jabuticaba. Looks like it grows on a tree, am I right?
I am thinking of sharing some interesting facts about my country - Bulgaria, in my future posts.
I hope I have the chance to visit Brazil some day. :)
