Does Poor Nutrition make one Irritable?

in #food6 years ago

Nutrition plays an important part in ones’ life. Having a healthy diet, and eating healthy can only provide the body with all the things it needs. It also increases ones’ life expectancy and prevents one from catching any serious diseases. And having a good meal is probably one thing that can get you boosted for the rest of the day.

Christopher Wanjek spoke about poor nutrition diets by saying:

“Poor meal programs and poor nutrition underlie so many work place issues: morale, safety, productivity, and the long-term health of the workers and nations. Wealthy nations face the staggering cost of chronic diseases and obesity. Neighborhood intervention is not working. Providing healthy food at work is the best way to get people to eat at least one healthy meal a day.”

Feeling Tired All Day Long:

Having a poor nutrition can cause one to feel tired all day long. And he starts to procrastinate in his work. He becomes lazy and becomes unable to get any of his work done. He loses all the opportunities. He becomes a victim to criticism. His lethargic behavior causes his coworkers to start doubting his abilities.

This is not a behavior of a healthy man. Rather, if he were a healthy man he would have been more active and spontaneous. But due to his lack of nutrition he starts lagging behind in society. He feels left out and ashamed. He stops developing new creative ideas and remains empty minded.

Bob Barker wisely said that:

“I think that age as a number is not nearly as important as health. You can be in poor health and be pretty miserable at 40 or 50. If you are in good health, you can enjoy things into your 80s.”

Poor Nutrition Affects the Brain:

A poor nutrition has direct affects’ on ones’ brain. He can no longer process information in his head. He becomes unable to understand himself and his surroundings. Ultimately he becomes a victim of inferiority complex as he starts doubting himself and his abilities. He no longer remains as active as he used to be. He can’t think straight anymore. The things he used to do so easily start becoming harder for him. So he gets frustrated. He becomes upset. And thus he becomes irritable and ignorant.

Poor Nutrition and Bad Health:

Not eating healthy and obtaining the good and necessary nutrients only brings about defects in man. His healing power decreases as his immune system weakens. He becomes more exposed to sickness. He becomes a victim mentally as well as physically. He becomes weak. His body starts breaking down. He starts to get older faster. He starts losing his hair. His bone start aching. He can’t get anything done. And the next thing he knows he has become old long before then he should have been.

Innovation in the Junk Foods:

With the success in the Junk food and Fast Food companies, people have started purchasing more greasy and unhygienic foods. These food might taste good but the defects they cause in the body is not worth it. But man has slowly started losing focus on his personal hygiene. He is so lost in his work that he doesn’t even realize that his body is being depleted of its nutrients.

It was Mike Adams who wisely pointed out that:

“Today, more than 90% of all chronic disease is caused by food choice, toxic food ingredients, nutritional deficiencies and lack of physical activity.”

Conclusion:

In the end, not having a balanced diet or taking too much junk food might not be a good thing for ones’ body. His body slowly starts losing its necessary nutrients. He slowly starts to get tired. He starts to get angry at little things. He loses sight of what is important. One should take proper care of ones’ health. And if he wants to live a successful and healthy life he should first and foremost work on his health as health is the basic necessity of man. As they say, ‘Health is Wealth’ . One should not take it as a joke. Life is essential and one should focus on his health and live a happy life.

Excellent post! Interesting information! Successes

In another life I serviced the cooking equipment for fast food outlets and not only did I witness unhygienic preparation but to have a frozen food at below -4degrees C reach a temp of 70+degrees C in 15 seconds has to be suspect. To be truthful it did put me off many foods and I began to eat quality from there on.

good topic! I am of the opinion that nutrition has a big impact on people. Unfortunately, most people do not realize the seriousness of this situation.

A fascinating read. I've allways wondered myself if there is a link between excess sugar and depression and the like.
