Pecan bars with extra nuttiness!

One day, seemingly out of the blue I got the sudden strong urge to make pecan bars. But I only had half the pecans necessary. So what would you do?
Wait for the longing to pass and go buy more nuts? Or do something equally yummy with what you do have?

Yes, I think I did what any hungry person would do. I mixed half pecans and half raw cashew pieces.

They were heavenly!

INGREDIENTS
1 cup wholemeal flour
1 cup regular all purpose flour
2/3 cup soft light brown sugar
pinch of salt
3/4 cup softened butter

Mix the dry ingredients and gently rub in softened butter until a crumb like texture is achieved. Press into tin.

1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup soft light sugar
2/3 cup butter
3 desert spoons of pouring cream
3 cups mixture of pecans and cashews.

Combine the butter and sugar in a saucepan over a low heat until melted. add honey and cream and finally mixed chopped nuts and pour over base.
Cook for around 20-25 mins at 350 degrees until you start to see the edges browning.
Cool before cutting into pieces - you know what size you like them ;)
