Rolo banana dessert from the Big Green Egg

Tonight I tried to make something new on the Big Green Egg.

A very simple but very tasty dessert. Definitely a calorie bomb! But that's why it's super tasty!

It was, as said, a trial but in the end it was super nice! And sorry but because i was too excited to try and taste it myself, I forgot to take an after picture with the ice.

The recipe:

Ingredients: (for 2 people)

• 2 ripe bananas
• 1 roll of Rolos
• A few small lumps of butter (unsalted) it is a dessert in the end!
• Vanilla ice cream

Preparation method:

Prepare the bbq for indirect heating. Set the temperature around 130 degrees.

Cut the bananas along the length, and put the rolos in between.

Divide a couple of lumps of butter over the banana, and place the bananas on your grid.

The rolo bananas are ready, when the chocolate is melted, and the banana has become soft and smooth. For me this lasted about 20 minutes.
Do not be alarmed if the skin is completely dark, or has become, since this has no adverse effect on the end result. You only eat what is in the shell!

Serve with a scoop of ice cream and then enjoy!
