Simple Japanese Chicken Karaage Recipe

  • 1 kg of chicken meat (thighs)
  • 4 tbsp dashi or mushroom broth
  • 2 tbsp of shoyu sauce
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp grated garlic
  • Flour seasoning:
    • 5 tbsp of wheat flour
    • 5 tbsp maize


  1. Cut the chicken meat, put all the spices. Mix well. Let stand in the refrigerator for 1 hour more.

  2. Stir the flour mixture until evenly distributed. Apply chicken meat with flour.

  3. Fry in oil over medium heat.

  4. Lift and serve while hot with sauce, sauce or mayonnaise.
