Before our visit to Mie Ayah, we were quite disappointed with the quality of Aceh aceh noodles offered by various restaurants in Banda Aceh. Ironically, considering this city is the birthplace of the aceh nood itself.

Our tour guide was aware of our dissatisfaction, and in an effort to make our visit not completely useless, so he advised us to try Mie Ayah. According to the argument, this is a restaurant we are looking for: has been standing for 25 years, has no branches, and is still managed by the original owner. It sounds too perfect, and it makes us even more hesitant. Until finally one of Bu Si Itiek Bireuen's staff recommended this place, and drove us there.

When we arrived, no one was visible. At the front, there is an aluminum box containing live crabs and ice cubes, as well as fryers used to cook martabak aceh. We immediately headed for one of the empty seats available at the front and ordered a serving of aceh noodles wet crab and martabak aceh. While waiting, one of the waiters came over and asked us to choose the crab.

We also made the choice of a medium-sized crab - which we chose not only because of its size, but also because the crab was alive and fresh.
