Already saying goodbye to our beautiful December and receiving with many positive energies 2018. I wish you a Happy New Year. This time I will teach them how to prepare delicious: Oats Arepas. They are very easy, economical and rich in fiber.

These healthy arepas are perfect for breakfast, they will love its flavor and texture.

Next, the ingredients you use and the manufacturing process:

Ingredients:
  • Precooked corn flour, water, oatmeal 5 teaspoons, wheat flour 3 teaspoons, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and salt to taste.
  • Utensils: Deep plastic container for kneading, budare for arepas or a pan. </ Center>

Elaboration process

Step 1

We will use a plastic container, and add water, salt to taste and 1 teaspoon of sugar, stir until dissolved and then add the pre-cooked flour. Taming and immediately to avoid grumo.

Passo 2

Now we have the dough well kneaded, we are going to add the oat flakes, followed by the 3 teaspoons of the wheat flour and knead to mix well the ingredients.

The wheat flour would allow us in the mix to keep the arepas softer and give a more beautiful color to the arepas.

Step 3

We will take a little of the mass already ready, with our hands we will go to make a little ball, that we will start to shape, until we have a flat circle.

Step 4

We bring to our kitchen burner a budare or pan that we are going to grease, it can be with vegetable oil, and we will add our arepas of oats, this will be cooked on medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes on both sides.

And now we can enjoy this wonderful breakfast rich in vitamin, I accompany my llanero cheese oatmeal arepas, and egg scramble with turkey ham.
