There s nothing quite like a big glass of freshly homemade lemonade on a hot summer day! Quench your thirst with this old fashioned beverage!
Make this delicious lemonade and you will see that worth every squeeze!

Lemons are loaded with healthy benefits, they’re a great vitamin C food source. One cup of fresh lemon juice provides 187 percent of your daily recommended serving of vitamin C ! Lemon juice also offers up a healthy serving of potassium, magnesium and copper.

  • 2 ½ cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 500gram stevia extract
  • 2 cups water
  • flakes of 1 lemon
  • a few slices of cucumber and lemon
  • a few fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • ice for serving

Method

  • add the water, stevia and lemon flakes to a saucepan and heat over medium heat
  • whisk constantly until the stevia dissolves and the mixture comes to a boil
  • let it bubble for about seven minutes, then reduce the heat and let it cool completely
  • add the lemon juice when syrup is cool
  • put the lemonade in bottles and maintain in fridge for about 3 weeks
  • stir before serving
  • served with 1/3 of lemonade syrup and rest water or soda water
  • garnish with mint leaves, slices of cucumber, slices of lemon or lime and lots of ice!!
