Sweet and Sour Beef Kebabs
Hello dear Steemian friends and good day. Hope everyone is doing great. Well, yesterday I grilled some sweet and sour beef kebabs and just wanted to share it with you.
This time of year is certainly good and pleasant to savor grilled meat such as kebabs. It’s a fun way to make using wooden or metal stick skewers, whichever type that you have available to use.
And it is delicious to eat as well with the balance of sweet and sour from the saltiness of soy or Worcestershire sauce, the acidity from lemons, and the sweetness from the sugar and reserved pineapple juice.
So, I hope you try to make this type of cooking using skewers for your meat. Enjoy and savor the meal with family and friends. Happy cooking everyone.
Ingredients:
2.5 lbs beef bottom round steak
½ c. soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
¼ c. sugar
2 fresh lemons, juice
¼ tsp. Johnny’s seasonings
1 tsp. black pepper
½ tsp. garlic powder with parsley
1 onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 20 oz. can pineapple chunks, reserved 1/4 cup juice
Steps and Procedures:
Cut the meat in chunk bite pieces and place in a bowl. Set aside.
In a small bowl, combine all liquid ingredients. Add seasonings and black pepper.
Pour liquid sauce to the meat.
Cover the bowl with meat in a saran wrap.
Marinate overnight.
Cut and chopped the vegetables. Put in a plate. Set aside.
Use skewers and alternatingly put meat and vegetables together in the skewer.
Place each kebab on a platter.
Put the kebabs on the grill and grill for 7 -10 minutes on each side.
Remove from the grill and put into a serving plate
Serve with rice.
