How to Make Pear Upside-Down Cake
Hello and welcome dear friends! Today, I made this dessert and I wanted to share it with you, it’s called “Pear Upside Down Cake,” which I retrieved and learned how to make from the famous Food Apparel Network.
I love this dessert because it is delightfully tasty. You can taste the sweetness of the caramelized sugar and the sweetness flavor and crispiness of the pears. This is yet another very simple and easy to do dessert. I have made this several times before and it is very tasty and delightful, just want to reiterate with you the delightfulness of this dessert.
Anyways, I hope you’ll enjoy making this dessert at home in your kitchen as I do in mine. Happy baking! And here’s how you make it.
Pear Upside-Down Cake
Ingredients:
½ c. butter or 1 stick of butter
1 c. brown sugar packed
3 fresh D’anjou pear, peeled, cored and evenly sliced
1 ¼ c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¾ c. milk
1/3 c. oil
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Steps and Procedures:
Preheat your oven to 350F degrees.
Using a stove top: melt butter and brown sugar in a small saucepan, over low heat, stir occasionally until butter and sugar are dissolved and caramelized.
Then pour the caramelized mixture into 9-inch round cake pan.
Place the sliced pears on top of the caramelized mixture in a spiral pattern.
In a medium bowl, combine and mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate large size bowl combine and mix the liquid.
Then add dry ingredients mixture to the liquid mixture and stir until incorporated.
Next, pour the cake batter over the caramelized with pears in the pan.
Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or cake is golden brown, or an inserted wooden pick comes out with dry crumbs on it.
Remove from oven and let it stand for about 12-15 minutes.
Invert cake by using a heatproof plate out of the pan onto a serving dish. Serve warm or cold. Enjoy
There you have it, a wonderful and delightful cake to enjoy with family and friends.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful lovely day. Happy baking!
