Banana Bread

Fellow Steemian friends,

Sharing with you an old-time recipe. Please enjoy.

Ingredients:

4-5 very ripe bananas, mashed
2 ½ c. all-purpose flour
¾ c. sugar
½ c. light brown sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
½ c. sour cream
½ c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract or pure bean paste
½ tsp. kosher salt
Grated zest of 1 orange

Steps and Procedures:

Preheat your oven to 350F degrees.

In a large mixing bowl combine and mix mashed bananas, white sugar, and brown sugar on low speed.

Then add oil, eggs, sour cream, vanilla, and orange zest.

In a separate medium mixing bowl sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and mix until thoroughly combined.

Pour the batter into a 9x5” loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes or until a wooden pick comes out clean.

Allow the bread the cool down for 10-12 minutes before transferring to a serving plate.

Serve warm with chai tea with cream or any of your favorite kinds of coffee or tea. Enjoy it.
