My Province Life : Cooking Biko and Latik
I will be cooking biko with latik , one of the favorites of Filipinos
Get some coconut first
Open the coconut and then get the white portion of it and throw the water. We do the manual thing because we don't have any equipment.
Put water into it and extract the coconut milk by squeezing the shredded coconut. Discard the shredded coconut pulp. Put the mixture into the sieve to filter the coconut milk.
Put brown sugar and continue mixing.
Just wait until it will be sticky.
Cook also a pilit rice
After mixed latik and pilit rice and it will become biko and the remaining latik , it will be used as spread or topping for your biko.. =)
