Coconut Ice Recipe from a Coconut Seller, Only Needs 4 Ingredients
Coconut ice is one of the most familiar ices for Indonesian people who live in the tropics.
Usually during Ramadan, traders sell coconut ice on the side of the highway. The price is also relatively cheap, starting from Rp. 5,000 to Rp. 10,000 per one glass.
In this fasting month, coconut ice is also one of my favorite drinks.
Original coconut ice recipe
Ingredients:
- 5 pieces of half-dark green coconut
- Ice cubes as needed
Sugar water ingredients:
- 250 gr brown sugar, sliced
- 300 ml of water
Now I will explain how to make it
Peel the coconut, take pure coconut water and only the flesh. Set aside.
How to make sugar water: prepare a pan, add brown sugar and water. Cook on the stove until it boils. Chill.
Prepare a glass, add sugar water, ice cubes, coconut meat and coconut water.
Serve cold.
