Organic food a much hyped topic in today’s time. Everyplace you go people talking about organic food especially vegetables & fruits. Organic foods grown in the absence synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, drugs or hormones, so directly or indirectly organic foods are environment, animal & human friendly. Besides we are very much aware that organic foods are expensive & not easily available.

Now the question how we can use organic food easily and cheap prices, yeah I know the answer which is “KITCHEN GARDENING”.

In KITCHEN GARDENING we can grow these organic fruits and vegetables for household consumption. Indeed kitchen gardening will not only provide fresh foods and vegetables but also will give you mental satisfaction, experience of fresh air, exercise & happy and stress free time. Ok now you want to know that how to do kitchen gardening at home, yes friends it requires little but necessary planning. I am telling you some steps to be followed before gardening.

First Before buying seeds or seedling you people should be aware about the space, how much space getting proper sunlight at least 4-6 hours.

Second which fruits and vegetables (tomatoes, lemons or herbs) we want to grow in our garden, if required you can take professional help for more details.

Third our garden soil quality should be pretty much known because if there is lacking of any nutrient, we can incorporate in soil. In market there is some soil testing kit is available, you can use that.

Start with small space, there is no need to start with big space initially; however we know the fact that in metropolitan cities you could not expect the open space for gardening, no problem solution is here, you can start with earthy pots, window boxes which could keep in your balcony.

We don’t like traffic jam then why plants would like it, avoid planting too close and make sure proper circulation of air between the plants.

After planting you have to feed your plants with well rotten animal manure especially plant eating creatures like cows, buffalo, goats or rabbits etc).

Yeah Mulching is a layer of any material like bark chips, shredded woods, plastic sheet, newspaper, grass hay compost etc on the surface of the soil around the plant, which help to conserve moisture, increase fertility and reduce weeds growth.

Watering your plant wisely, keep one thing in your mind wet leaves in afternoon or evening can spread disease in plant, so it’s better to deliver water directly to roots in morning time.

Keep your garden clean from any sort of dead foliage, weeds etc. cleanliness saves human body from many infection, diseases likewise it protects plants, vegetables and fruits.

Finally harvest your labour in the form fresh fruit and vegetables.

Keep this point in your mind as well that Plant Rotation which is key for healthy growing garden, rotate the particular vegetable or fruits to another parts of garden to keep the diseases or any element which can harm your plant surprises.

You have to be realistic and patient for kitchen gardening. Last but not least organic foods are healthy but if you add high sugar, salt, fat or preservatives in organic foods it can also became unhealthy.
