Marinated Beef for Tacos al Pastor
Have you ever tried tacos al Pastor? They are one of my favorite kind of tacos. They have a sweet citrus flavor and a bit of spice. You can make them at home with just a few basic ingredients. For this guide I will walk you through the steps to marinate the meat making it very tender and flavorful.
You will need:
- 1 large mixing bowl
- cutting board and knife
- 2 pounds beef (chuck or skirt steak works well)
- 1/2 can frozen pineapple or orange concentrate
- 1 Small onion
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Start by dicing the onion and garlic and placing it into the mixing bowl. Next, cut the beef into 1/2" strips and combining in the large mixing bowl. Now, you just need to combine the oil, chili powder, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pineapple concentrate in the large bowl with the other ingredients. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or foil and place in the refridgerator for 8-12 hours.
The meat will be very tender and flavorful for cooking the next day. You can place the meat in a covered skillet on low for a few hours, or also in the crock pot on low for 8 hours. All you need is some tortillas, onion, and cilantro for some tasty tacos! Hope you enjoy my recipe.
