Watermelons are the perfect summer food. They are delicious, low in calories, nutrient dense and super hydrating.

What will happen if you eat watermelon daily. Let's find out.

1.Healthy heart
Watermelons get their RED color from lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant that has been recognized for its connection with cardiovascular health. Consuming foods rich in lycopene such as watermelon can help improve blood flow and may even lower blood pressure.

2.Improved Workouts
One of the more popular pre-workout ingredients is citrulline (or citrulline malate). Supplementing with 6-8 grams of citrulline prior to a workout has been shown to enhance blood flow, which may positively impact high-intensity performance, muscle soreness, and muscle fatigue.Consider eating a piece of this great fruit before your workout to reduce recovery time.

3.Aids weight loss
Another thing is Citrulline gets converted into L-arginine which is an amino acid that has fat burning effect.Watermelon contains around 90% water and is very low in calories, making it a great fruit for people who want to lose weight. Watermelons work as a natural Viagra. They boost libido and improve circulation. The L-arginine in watermelons helps to relax blood vessels in a similar way than what happens when men take Viagra.There have been studies conducted that show eating watermelon may increase the number of sperm in males as well as improve their motility. Try adding watermelon to your diet.

7.Skin and hair
Watermelon contains a good amount of beta-carotene, which gets converted to vitamin A which promotes cell growth that keep your skin and hair healthy and hydrated.

Most people don’t eat the seeds of watermelons or opt for seedless watermelons. The seeds are a rich source of protein and have their own beneficial nutrients to keep your body healthy.

The serving size mentioned above is one cup contains that contains around 100gm and provides 2.5 grams of citrulline.

And if you're worried about the sugar, consider that despite the 9 grams of sugar per 1 cup of diced melon, this fruit is nearly 90% water, which means it will promote fullness and limit you from inhaling the entire melon in a single sitting.

We know that anything in excess can lead to harm. So limit yourself to 1 cup.
