I have never even heard of this fruit but can’t wait to try it! The flavors you describe are so interesting sounding… we’ll definitely keep our eyes out for this elusive sounding fruit when we touch down :). Thanks for the share @rawadventuress.
There are some hilarious videos online of people tasting durian for the first time and no matter if they loved or hated it - you can see the total surprise on their faces, the flavors are just so crazy. 😁
I think you might still hit the season when you arrive here, it is just starting these weeks. And I really like the Balinese durian - sweet, mild and super creamy. From what I know they also don't use any pesticides here (which is very common in Malaysia for example) since they don't have farms but only harvest them in the jungle. 😉
It sounds so interesting and like an adventure all on its own. I really do look forward to tasting those durians and hope to check back with you to compare notes :)
It is an adventure - even opening it yourself (as soon as you‘ve been shown how to do it) can be so exciting.
