COMIDAS Y CONTORNOS
Cooking is one of my hobbies. I love learning new recipes and even trying different flavors and combinations I invent myself.
I know that many people, for practicality or due to time constraints, prepare meals with just one side dish, such as rice with stewed chicken, or pasta with meat, and that's it. I'm a big fan of side dishes with every meal, and I'm not talking about one or two, but up to five. Like the executive lunch, which includes several items on a single tray.
I think the presence of side dishes is not only interesting because of the delicious mix of flavors and different tastes on the palate when enjoying a good meal, but also because of the balance of all the elements of the food pyramid, which are important to have present in every meal. To name a few, proteins, vegetables, carbohydrates (much better if they are unprocessed), among others.
