Breakfast Buffet: Sweet Inspiration Café
As we all know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It’s where we get our daily dose of energy to sustain us for all our activities like school work, office dues, and household chores. It helps us boost our moods to face our daily struggles and to lighten us up to bring sunshine to others.
Sweet Inspirations Café is a restaurant, bakeshop and café rolled into one. This was built in 1990 along the busy streets of Katipunan and was serving scrumptious foods for 28 years. The place was so homey with its well furnished interiors and cool ambiance. It was located in Katipunan Ave Loyola heights Quezon City, Philippines. The café was situated across the street of Ateneo De manila and a few minutes’ walk from PUP mall. The café is open from 6:00am – 11pm MNL Weekdays.
Me and my friends dropped by this nice and classy café where they offer a BREAKFAST BUFFET! Yes you heard it right, an eat all you can from varieties of breakfast dishes and desserts in a very reasonable price of 260php/person from 6am-10am . Definitely worth it!
The café was famous for the CHAMPORADO (sweet chocolate rice porridge) which was made with authentic tablea chocolates, poured with milk and rice. This is best paied with tuyo . And yes! I agree it’s a must try.
Also among the breakfast foods were the Filipinos favorite Tapa (cureed beef) , tocino , scrambled egg and my favorite Danggit (fried sun-dried rabbitfish). There’s also a choice of plain or fried rice, champorado (chocolate porridge) or lugaw (Plain garlic porridge). They even serve different beverages like brewed coffee, calamsi juice, greentea and iced tea.
Desserts include buttered 'Bibingka' (Buttered Rice cake) and "Puto bungbong'
I enjoyed this breakfast eat out not just because of the food but also because I got to be with my friends Junnie and Jocely who had helped me coped with my shift schedules at work and been dear to me for a long period of time. It’s just so nice being with them.
And also what makes this place a little unique from the others is that you get to eat with families who has been sharing their breakfast in this first place for a long time, according to the staffs people don’t come back just for the food but also for the “homey” dining experience that they received since the café was built.
