I always prepare him with pleasure. A result surpassed expectations. Very deliciously!

Cake in this case, of course, is not literally a cake - cakes for this entertaining dish of Russian folk cuisine are baked from a blended pork liver or beef liver (with the addition of flour for durability) and are smeared not with cream, but with garlic-mayonnaise sauce. A controversial work, but terribly popular.

  • Liver of 600 g.

  • 1 egg.

  • 1 soupspoon of mayonnaise.

  • A garlic is 3 denticles

  • 5 spoons of flour Salt and pepper to liking, as you like

  • Carrot.

  • Margarine.

  • Sunflower oil.

Liver to wash, dry, and everything through a meat grinde, and onions, garlic.

On a well-heated frying pan (previously lubricated with vegetable oil) a ladle poured out the liver. The process is the same as when baking pancakes. We make cakes - ideally the thickness of the cake should not be more than 5 mm. Although otherwise it will be delicious.

Onion cut into thin half rings, carrots three on a large grater. The amount of onions and carrots I point to the eye. To be safe, you can initially fry more, to be sure enough for the filling.

In a separate frying pan fry onions with carrots and spices.

We form the cake.

To do this, put a cake on a plate, a thin layer of mayonnaise on it, on top - a thin layer of onions with carrots, the next cake, and so on. If a lot of cake, for convenience make two cakes, although not very high, but they will be convenient to cut. Or halve the number of ingredients needed.

This cake was at our family on every holiday table. Mom did it in the evening before the holiday and left on the window sill, covered with foil, so that it soaked.

You will see for yourself that on the second day this cake becomes even more delicious, as well as the legendary "yesterday's borsch"!
