Quick and easy recipe- Protein Pancakes
Homemade Protein Pancake
I love a good protein pancake for breakfast, snack or pre workout fuel. It is a quick and easy recipe that is delicious and satisfies my sugar cravings.
Ingredients:
-1 cup dry large flake oats
-2 scoops Whey protein powder (I like to use Magnum Quattro Vanilla Ice Cream or Perfect Sport Diesel Chocolate Peanut Butter)
-1/4 -1/3 cup chocolate chips
-Dash of cinnamon
Optional: 1/3 cup chopped nuts, 1/3 cup almond or peanut butter, 2 tbsp flax seed
Place all ingredients in a bowl. Add enough water to make a thick paste. Stir. Place on a hot frying pan with 1 tbsp olive or coconut oil. Cook for approximately 2 minutes per side ( this depends on how gooey you want your pancakes to be). Top with anything you like, such as maple syrup, nut butter or jam.
Approx nutritional information for 1 pancake:
15 grams Protein
20 grams of Carbohydrates
5 grams Fat.
