Christmas cookies

The cookie is cut out with different New Year's biscuit molds and is
decorated with colored glaze (only after it has completely cooled
down).

3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
200 g of softened margarine or butter
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract or vanilla sugar


Sift in a bowl of flour, baking powder and salt, set aside. Melt the
margarine (or butter), add sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves
completely. When it cools, add lightly beaten eggs, then add the
vanilla.
Gradually, apply the sieved ingredients until a uniform consistency is
obtained. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 180 C. Lubricate the pan with oil. On a clean surface,
sprinkled with flour, roll out small portions of chilled dough to a
thickness of 8-10 mm.Cut the dough into molds.

Bake 8-10 minutes in a preheated oven, take it out when the cookie
still seems pale. If the edges get too brown, the cookies will be
hard, but I like it soft and slightly crumbly. Remove from the baking
sheet after 2-3 minutes and lay on the grill, for cooling.
