What is popcorn? And how it is prepared?

Everyone loves to eat the delicious butter popcorn! But do you know what popcorn is? Popcorn, also known as popping corn is a variety of corn (maize). When the corn is heated to about 200 degree Celsius, the moisture in the starch turns into stream and build up pressure until the kernel explodes inside out into a while fluffy, irregular mass, about 20 to 40 times a original size, when the kernel explodes, a small explosion or, pop’ sound is heard.
