Spicy Curry Lobsters Feast ๐ค๐ค๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐
Sea Food is the food I enjoy the most. Specially Prawns, Crabs, Salmon and King Fish.
A friend of our's got us this gift of a dozen Lobsters a couple of days ago during our Anniversary week. I was so excited as Lobsters is something an expensive affair and you will not buy them often.
He wanted us to make it some Indian style and also treat him.
I am not very good at preparing exotic dishes so I leave that part to my husband. He is a good chef and enjoys cooking.
Since it had to be made in an indian curry way, it had to be completely deshelled, which was the toughest part of the whole process. It took me almost 2 hours to clean the dozen of them and the end result was worth the effort. They turned out to be very yummy, tasty and juicy.
Can you imagine the effort that must have gone in cleaning them.
They gave me a tough time
First thing I did was remove the head part, which was easy
Removing the body shell was the toughest job.
And finally they are all cleaned up
And then the marination part
1 spoon of Chilli powder
1 spoon of Turmeric powder
1 spoon Cumin powder
Salt to taste
1 spoon of grounded mix spices black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, coriander and nutmeg.
Add all of this to the cleaned lobsters and leave it overnight in the freezer to marinate.
For the Curry
1 Onion chopped
1 tomato pulped
Ginger and garlic finely chopped
Bay leaves
Cook the onion till it turns golden brown, add the finely chopped garlic and ginger and bay leaves, cooking for further 2 minutes. Then add the tomato pulp and the lobsters. Since this was a Curry I made small pieces of lobster.
Allow the lobsters to cook for around 12 to 15 minutes and the dish is ready to be served with some coriander garnishing on it along with a glass of wine ๐ฅ
