My sister invited us to a buffet dinner at the golf club where she is a member. We ate a light lunch so that we could taste more at dinner without having to feel too guilty about the additional calories that would more than likely expand the already generous waistline.
There was a large selection of food set out to whet anyone's appetite. Salad bar, soup bar, noodles section, barbecued meats and seafood, satay, timsum, roti, teppanyaki, fresh oysters, shrimps and shashimi. Desserts include ice cream, shave ice, several types of fruit and a delicious assortment of cakes.
We were most taken by the crispy pancake with chopped peanut and creamy sweet corn filling. This was made on request so that the pancake would be crispy, crunchy and warm.
I watched the chef deftly making the pancakes and the process looked easy. When I came home, I started searching online for the recipe. Read a few recipes but the accompanying images don't look appetising. So I am still continuing my search.
Anyway, I am sharing some of my snapshots of the club's desserts that you may like.
These mini cheesecakes are the real deal. Simply delicious. What's better than a nice hot cup of black coffee to end the meal.
