Easy Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Wings Recipe

in #food5 years ago

Hello DTube and Steemians!

Who is in the mood for some crispy oven baked chicken wings? In this episode of In the Kitchen with Matt I will show you how to make crispy wings. This homemade oven baked chicken wings recipe is easy to make, and the chicken wings wind up being crispy, and super delicious. This is a great basic recipe to start with, then later you can add different flavors if you like. They are super flavorful by themselves, but of course I like to dip mine in barbecue sauce or ranch dressing, or something other neat sauce. If you like chicken wings, gives these a try! If I can make them you can make them, let's get started!

If you have any questions or comments leave them down below and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Ingredients:

  • 10 wings (thawed, and dried)
  • 1/3 cup of all purpose flour (45g)
  • 1 tsp. of salt
  • 1 tsp. of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. of ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. of paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. of cayenne pepper (for some heat, I leave it out, I am a wimp)
  • 3 Tbsp. of butter

Tools:

  • 1 large ziplock plastic bag
  • tongs
  • sheet pan
  • silicon mat
  • parchment paper, or foil (makes clean up on the pan a lot easier!)

Step 1: Mix Dry Ingredients in a Bag

First let's preheat the oven to 425 F. (218C) let's mix our dry ingredients in large ziplock bag. Add in our flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Then shake up the back until they are well mixed.

Step 2: Shake and Butter

Next lets add our thawed and dried chicken wings to the bag and shake it up until the wings get well coated. Next melt your butter and add it on top of your sheet pan lined with a silicone mat or foil.

Step 3: Place and Bake

Next let's place our chicken on the pan, and roll each piece around so it gets a little bit of butter coating on it. Make sure the chicken pieces are spread out. Then bake them for 30 minutes. Next turn them over and bake for an additional 15 minutes until they are nice and crispy and done. If you want to add a sauce, like a barbecue sauce, go ahead and baste it on to each side when there is about 10 minutes left. :) Now let them cool for a bit before serving! Enjoy! :)
