Nice one @dolliescakes! Your title caught my attention as a mother and home maker and I'm glad I came to check this out. I love your sense of humor, 'salting till ancestors say stop' gave me a very good laugh. You are right about many of this habits and I would like to caution us more about the "re-use of used serving spoons". It is so very dangerous just like you have stated above. I'll suggest that you change 'meat doneness' to 'meat softness'. Thanks for this beautiful post. Cheers.
