Bouillabaisse and Marseille
Tonight I made bouillabaisse for the first time as a Christmas surprise for my wife, who loves seafood in any form.
I have no idea why I haven't made it before now, since I love to experiment with my cooking.
All I can say is that it was completely mind-blowing.
If you haven't tried it and you have an inkling how to cook - try it as soon as you can.
I used this recipe from Epicurious.
DO NOT SKIP THE ROUILLE.
Whatever Frenchman came up with that condiment should be knighted.
It was a great end to a great day. And now I need to visit Marseille to try bouillabaisse from the source so to speak.
