How to Make a CLASSIC MARTINI ๐ธ + THANK YOU to My Followers! ๐พ (COCKTAIL RECIPE + PHOTOS + VIDEO)
Salutations Steemit Friends! ๐
Firstly, I'd like to make a shout out to my first 1000+ Steemit followers ๐ THANKING YOU ๐ for your support. ๐ค
I've received such a warm welcome since I first began posting on Steemit! I have to say, it's been such a pleasant departure from other social media platforms and I've enjoyed my time blogging here. ๐
Secondly, I hope you're enjoying the weekend! 'Tis the season for festive holiday cocktail parties and every host or hostess with the "mostess" should know how to make a fancy tipple or two.
Today, I'd like to share with you a cocktail I've just recently revisited myself, the Classic Martini. ๐ธ
According to mixologists and cocktail connoisseurs alike, the Classic Gin Martini is the only Martini. Without a doubt, if you need to know how to make one classic cocktail for your guests, this one is it!
Oh, and btw I think that debate is hogwash. Personally, I adore my fancy Martinis that are not real Martinis.
Okay, now let's get stirrin' and shakin'!
Classic Martini Cocktail Recipe ๐ธ
Ingredients
Cracked ice
2 1/2 fl oz gin
1/2 fl oz dry vermouth
Add a dash of bitters (your choice)
Green olive or lemon twist garnishYield: 1 serving
๐ก Tip: For best results, use top-shelf ingredients!
Directions
In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker filled with cracked ice, add gin, vermouth and optional bitters.
Stir or shake well (for about 20 seconds). Next, strain your drink into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with an olive or a lemon twist.
Now you're ready to serve, sip & enjoy your Classic Martini Cocktail!
This photo was taken when I was going through my DIY cocktail fascinator phase. Lucky for me, DIY cocktail photo shoots are a great excuse to wear one!
Unless, you would prefer to modify your Martini...
I did. I like mine savory. So, I made mine Dirty.
A Dirty Martini is a Classic Martini served with a bar spoonful (or two or three) of olive brine and an olive garnish. You can customize your olive stuffing too! Rather pimento, perhaps you'd be better pleased with blue cheese.
To make a Dry Martini simply reduce the amount of vermouth.
To make a Perfect Martini use equal parts dry and sweet vermouth.
To make a Gibson substitute an olive garnish with cocktail onions (aka "pearl onions").
Detest gin? Then substitute the booze. Switch gin with vodka.

If you watched that video, yes, it was parody of Snooki (do you remember her???) and her favorite snacks rolled up into a Martini!
Do you have a favorite Martini?

I feel exhausted after watching that video.
It was legitimately an overload of innuendo, satire, enthusiasm and mind control.
Man do I need a drink...
Bravo
Lol! I tried to (at the least) match the ridiculousness that once was The Jersey Shore. Cheers to you @akrid!
I've never seen it, and now I'm glad I haven't haha
