Salutations Steemit Friends!
I hope you're getting in some much needed R&R this weekend. However, if you're finding that your schedule is packed with weekend chores and errands, may I suggest that you momentarily trade in that honey-do-list for this honeydew drink recipe.
I spent my Saturday morning busy as a bee in the kitchen, concocting this healthy beverage for you to sip, savor and enjoy.
Oh, and don't let its Shrek-ish hue deter you! This yummy and refreshing Melon Kale Cucumber Green Juice tastes slightly sweet, green and "mellow"...
If asked to describe it, I'd say it tastes like "sippable summertime sunshine served in a stemless glass". Okay, enough silly alliteration, here's the recipe...
Melon Kale Cucumber Green Juice Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups of fresh golden honeydew melon
2 cups of fresh kale
1/2 of an English cucumber
3 stalks of celery
1 lemon
Sprig of mint
Yield: 32 fl oz (2 servings)
Directions
Wash all produce well. Peel the lemon. Add all ingredients through juicer. Strain the juice to remove the pulp. Sip and enjoy!
I'm still brainstorming a clever name for this drink! How about a "HONEYDEW ME"? What do you think? I'd love to know... feel free to leave your comment and upvote below. :)

Honestly can not wait to try this. Just going to have to get a new juicer first. Been contemplating a masticating one. I keep burning up my centrifugal ones. Any suggestions in that area?
Been using an Omega juicer (masticating) for a few years now... so far so good!
That's good to know, I've actually been looking into one of those.
It's a pain to clean (they all are!) and can be a bit cumbersome to put together but so far pretty solid. Would recommend :)
I would even take it a step further and posit to suggest it may be cucumbersome! ๐ ๐๐
