Mix Veggies (Pinakbet)
This is our mix veggies, we called it pinakbet , it is a mix vegetables and we cook it in a little bit of oil and soy sauce with all the ingredients and spices. The vegetables are okra, eggplant, squash and string beans, this is also my favorite kind of vegetables and my partner likes it also but he only eats the squash, string beans, and okra he doesn't like the eggplant cause he's not fond of eggplant. When I was their in my province we always requested my mom to make pinakbet because me my siblings and my father or shall I say the entire family loves to eat pinakbet and this is the easiest food we can make because vegetable is not expensive compared to all kinds of meat. We are very much happy if we have pinakbet in our table and we partner it with fried dried fish, this is a Filipino style dish. I doubt it if foreigners will like to eat it, I think the only foreigner I've known who eat a mix veggies like this is my partner only.
