Canon salad
The canons, is a soft vegetable, with a slight flavor of nuts, little known in some areas.
They are called that because they were formerly consumed by monks.
They are digestive and clean the blood, good for sight and anemia, for bones, nerves, anxiety.
They can be eaten raw or cooked.

Ingredients: Canons
Pipes
Prunes
White cheese
Oil
Salt
Vinegar
Honey of cane.
First we clean the canons in water with a splash of vinegar, once cleaned season with olive oil and salt, add the pipes, the prunes cut into pieces and the cheese in squares.
We remove to mix the flavors of all foods.
And ready we serve it with cane honey, but we leave it aside for each diner to serve according to his tastes.
Son muy parecidos a los berros, no?
En Canarias el “potagito de berros” se toma mucho, acompañado de queso fresco, gofio y una costilla salada 😋
