Okonomiyaki for dinner?
Yes this is one of favorite dish in my family!!! You can put anything you want...
This is basically savory pancake in Japan, specifically Kansai area to Hiroshima.
Massive amount of shredded cabbage and batter, this is the base for Okonomiyaki. You mix those two together, after that, you just add anything you want to put inside of the pancake. For instance, seafood, cheese, other shredded vegetables, thinly sliced meat, and so on...you just name anything!!!!
Okonomi means do as you like, and Yaki means grill...so you add what you like and grill the pancake! Hurray!! How easy is that?!
After you finish cooking, then add the BBQ sauce and mayonnaise, and remember! You can ADD any sauce you want! Because this is Okonomi-Yaki!!!!
Recipe for this batter :
1 cup of self-raising flour
1 Tbs of Dashi powder
150ml-200ml of water
(you might need to adjust depending on the dryness of the flour)
Batter should be looking like a normal pancake one!!!

Original one is not spicy at all. Normal BBQ sauce taste but you can add hot sauce as well...
I usually put BBQ sauce, mayonnaise, and chili powder!
