Chrysanthemum Tea
Drink Ice tea in a hot summer weather is the best way to cool down, but imagine if we get tons of benefits for our health from it. You're willing to drink it right? You may make some too for the benefits.
Friend of mind, who is Chinese was the one who taught me how to boil own Chrysanthemum Tea. It's super easy and super refreshing, slightly bitter and sweet.
All you need is, boil and refrigerate it a long week.
Ingredients:
2 cups of dried chrysanthemum flowers (Get from Chinese store)
1 cup of dried honeysuckle flower
Some rocks sugar (I prefer mine with some honey right away before I drink)
2 Liters of water
Method:
Rinse both dried flowers in a strainer and add it the flowers into the boiling water, let it boil for 10 minutes in medium heat.
Add the rock sugar if you prefer and let it boil for another 2 to 3 minutes in low heat. Turn off the heat, strain the tea and refrigerate after it's cool.
The tea is very strong. So, you have to serve with Ice cubes.
Benefits of chrysanthemum flowers:
It contains vitamin C and B, caffeine free, promote health heart, helps with eye problems, detox and lower cholesterol.
Benefits of honeysuckle flower:
It's anti bacterial (my friend said, it's help with lung infection), anti inflammatory, helps reducing fever, soar throat.
There are many ways to make chrysanthemum tea, some of them just brew it and some boil with goji berries.
Thank you and stay cool.
