Why should we want Maracuja in our lives? | The benefits of Passion Fruit
Hi steemit!!
Brazil, this morning (just before the rain!) I took some "Maracujas" to make a fresh juice!
Why is Passion Fruit so good?
Origins of Maracuja
The Maracuja is a fruit produced by the plants belonging to the Passiflora gender.
It grows in tropical and subtropical areas of the Americas.
The Caribbean, Florida and Brazil are the largest producers.
The coolest thing is that we have it in the garden!
We just have to take it from the tree and enjoy it ;)
100% fresh and organic fruit!
It grows like a vine and for that we have to plant it near to a support.
Here you can see that we plant it to grow on the roof of our house.
Beautiful Flowers
The Maracuja's fowers are one of the must amazing I ever seen!
There are no flowers this time of the year so I had a google one to show you ;)

Back to the juice...
I made a simple juice just with just bananas and maracujas but you can additionate some other fruits or honey, ginger, pepper mint...
After mixing it I love to filter it to remove the black seeds that aren't so tasty!
Maracuja is useful
The white part of the fruit (in Brazil we call it "albedo") can be used to conserve and bind food.
For exemple to make marmelade.
You just have to cut it into small pieces and cook it with the food.
Maracuja and its healthy benefits
Passion fruit has benefits that help treat various diseases, such as anxiety, depression or hyperactivity, and in the treatment of sleep problems, nervousness, restlessness, high blood pressure...
It can also be used for weight loss and the fight against aging, as it is packed with antioxidants like vitamins A and C, and has diuretic properties.
I hope that you enjoyed this juice full of vitamines and good vibes with me!
I want to thank @quinneaker who actually inspired me with his post ;)
See you!
With love,
Lisa
