in #food6 years ago (edited)

Hi Steemit Community!

Recently I began a new article and vlog series called Tasty Tuesdays and Thirsty Thursdays (kinda punny, but kinda catchy haha) and today I am sharing my first drink recipe!

This frozen margarita is a great way to beat the heat of summer and is a really refreshing beverage, so I wanted to share the recipe with you all! 😊

Frozen Blueberry Margarita Recipe:

  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 to 1 cup of ice
  • 1 and 1/4 cups of grape juice
  • 2 ounces of tequila
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh lime juice
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons of agave nectar or simple syrup to taste
  • Sugar for rim of glass
*Orange and lime wedges for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add frozen blueberries, ice, grape juice, tequila, 1 teaspoon of lime juice (set aside the other teaspoon), and optional agave nectar or simple syrup into a blender.
  2. Blend together on low until the drink is mixed well.
  3. Select chosen glass for beverage and dip the rim in the remaining teaspoon of lime juice. Then follow that by dipping the rim into the set aside sugar and garnish with an orange wedge, lime slice, blueberries-- or whatever else you would like to add!
    4.Enjoy! 😏

I hope you enjoyed this sweet and simple recipe video and enjoy making this refreshing summer beverage!

Preheat the stove to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Oil a 9×13 inch dish. In a medium bowl, blend together 1 container sugar, 3 mugs flour, and heating powder. Blend in salt and lemon get-up-and-go. Utilize a fork or baked good shaper to mix in the spread and egg. Batter will be brittle. Praise half of batter into the readied dish.

In another bowl, blend together the sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice. Delicately blend in the blueberries. Sprinkle the blueberry blend equitably finished the covering. Disintegrate remaining batter over the berry layer.

Prepare in preheated broiler for 45 minutes, or until the point when top is marginally dark colored. (This took an additional 10 to 15 minutes in my broiler.) Cool totally before cutting into squares.

What is this recipe for? It sounds good, but I'm not entirely sure what it is!

Hey there @lifetipbysn Good video! Looks yummy. I look forward to future videos.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it! :)

Just saw your vlog list, I'd work on the lighting above and back will have that halo effect. Now time to make some Margarita's!
