I'm going to give this a try! The soil in the Ozarks is somewhat rocky but can give it a try. I really prefer and outdoor cooking situation.

With the right mix of clay and straw, some rocks won't be a problem. The more mass you have, the better rocky soil is suited to the project. You really want the proper ratio in your cob mixture so that the rocks won't compromise the overall strength. We'd love to know how it turns out @letuslove!

I have quite a few videos online about making cob as do others. It is truly a skill worth having and quite simple actually!
