Sweet rice with figs in syrup
This dessert makes a combination of sweet rice with milk and served with figs in syrup, you have to serve them very cold.
It is easy to prepare, you should prepare the figs first. I cook a kilo of tender figs from my own tree.
Preparation of figs
Wash the figs
Cook in boiling water for 10 minutes and throw this water, this is with the intention of cleaning the sticky milk they have.
Put them again to cook in 1 liter of water, add some cinnamon sticks and 500 grams of sugar
Cook till the syrup has reduced
Cool in the refrigerator
Ingredients for the sweet rice
Use 2 cups of rice
1 liter of milk plus 1 cup of cream milk
1 cup of sugar
1 cinnamon stick plu 5 cloves
Preparation
Lavar el arroz
Cook in 2 cups of water till soft
Add the milk, sugar and spices
The sugar makes the rice hard, that is why you have to cook the rice first
Cook slowly till the liquids evaporate, let the rice a bit wet
Cool without covering the pan
