Cookies filled with seeds
These cookies are an excellent option for a dinner snack, especially for children
Ingredients:
200 grams of self-raising flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1/ teaspoon of nutmeg
less than 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom
100 grams of butter
150 grams of caster sugar
2 egg yolks
1 cup of different kind of seeds or you can buy them in the stores. In venezuela you can buy them in arab'stores.
Preparation:
In a bowl place the flour the salt, the baking powder and baking soda and mix with a fork
Add the butter and the spices
- With your finger mix so that it looks like bread crums
- Add the sugar and the egg yolks and mix on the table
Place it in a plastic bag and put in the refrigerator for one hour
After that time, extend it on the table and cover with the seeds
Roll the rectangle to atrap the seeds and place it in the plastic paper and again to the refrigerator for 30 minutes
Cut the roll in small pieces and place them in a tin and bake till golden
