Beef Bulalo
Hello Steemit Philippines and world! Today I am going to share another Filipino dish with the help of Robert Colinares. This is one of my favorite pinoy dish and I would be happy to share it with you guys. Shall we begin?
Ingredients...
bulalo or beef shanks
potatoes
onions
bok choy leaves or pechay
corn on the cob
whole peppercorn
fish sauce
In preparation, wash the meat thoroughly before cooking.
Procedure...
1 Cook the meat in a pot of boiling water until tender. Skim off the scum that shows while water is continuously boiling. After eliminating the scum, add in the onions, whole peppercorn and soy sauce. Bring the water to boil again for another 10 minutes before adding the corn.
2 After the corn is added, let the water boil again for another 20 minutes so as the meat will be tenderized further.
3 Add the potatoes and let it cook for another 10 minutes. Once the potatoes are tender, we may now add our pechay. Cover and wait for 2 minutes more and it is now ready to serve.
