I travel the world Part 46: FACIL (2-Star Michelin Restaurant) Part 1
The Mandala Hotel's Restaurant FACIL is directly located at Potsdamer Platz in the heart of up trending foodies town Berlin.
The lunch menu is incredible at 50 Euro for a 3-course Menu (It was 43 Euro in the past but 50 Euro is still a great deal)
It has been awarded with 2-Michelin Stars and MICHAEL KEMPF and his team are doing a tremendous job.

The FACIL is the perfect place for unconventional gourmets seeking a culinary experience. Our chef de cuisine is MICHAEL KEMPF. His style of cooking is modern and creative. I ordered the 3-course lunch menu with a Salmon Starter, Beef and a Dessert. I have been here 2 years ago, so I knew anything I order would be fantastic.
Fantastic Bread selection with french butter, sea-salt and Pesto-dip
FILET AND CAVIAR OF BIRNBAUM'S SALMON TROUT - RAPINI
SHOULDER OF BEEF - BELL PEPPER AND STEWED CUCUMBER
BONFIRE - VANILLA, PEAR AND CEPS

I have to say the whole lunch was incredible and such a special experience
The salmon was perfect and the broccoli was prepared in a way you could never do that at home.
The shoulder of beef was so tender I almost cried.. Perfectly matched by an incredible sauce and the onions had such a special taste, genius!!!
The dessert was again one of a kind, the chocolate was salted, the ice-cream and the pears where in perfect harmony...

Looks delicious and their portions seem a bit bigger than your average Michelin starred place.

nah the bread is quite enough. ;) eat the bread than it will be enough ;)
It looks so incredibly delicious and still not too experimental. My kind of food... Did you say 50 eur ? How is that possible ?
yes the lunch menu is half price. so i recommend the lunch time menu.
it is 50 Euro for a 3 course menu! you can altough only eat 1,2 courses, which is cheaper. but i recommend eating entree, main and dessert. don't forget , you will get awesome bread + 1 amouse boule and a dessert after the dessert for free ;)
