A friend of mine from the Neatherlands invited me to his hometown for a Oysterparty. There is a Oyster station near his place and all Oysters which are not perfectly shaped are thrown into the sea. So you just have to walk around and pick the oysters up

I was a bit afraid that we might get old oysters, but my friend told me that he never had a problem. The oysters were BBQed and they were super super delicious. Best part was the free Oysters. You can basically eat as many Oysters as you want for free. It was like HEAVEN ;)

Your friend is a genius, collecting the discarded oysters and having BBQ parties. That is some good living, and the price ain't too bad either :)

Wow das sieht nach einer guten Ladung Austern aus, war bestimmt lecker. Meine besten habe ich mal in der Bretagne direkt am Strand gesammelt und direkt vor Ort mit Zitrone geschlürft.
sehr gut. ja das war schon krass ;) und kostenfrei ist immer gut ;)aber das knacken nervt hhalt

Mein Schwager verkauft frischen Fisch und Muscheln und mein Sohn hatte mal ausgeholfen als Zeit für Austern war..der hatte so ne spezielle Zange..aber es war wohl auf Dauer doch sehr anstrengend die Dinger aufzumachen...20 ok..nicht schlecht😆
Hey @knozaki2015, did you know these are actually Japanese Oysters... they were introduced a few decades ago at the 'Oosterschelde', where your friend most likely harvested them.
I didn't known there were Japanese. ;)
No wonder they tasted so good
when i was walking on one of Spanish islands, there were free crabs walking everywhere, but i didnt catch any to cook. i ate some at restaurant ;)
haha yeah. easier to just collect the oysters than catching something alive ;)
