Good day to all my fellow Steemian.

Suya happens to be a Nigerian meat preparation. I had paid a visit to Nigeria some times ago and i got to see how most of the people there love this beef and even nicknamed it SUYA I got to taste some of this Suya as well and i got to find out how delicious and spicy it is. I had ask for some of the Spices used in preparing this and i was given everything detailed. So today, i would post about the steps on how you can try this out from your home.
Suya is generally made by grilling some spiced meat/beef over a red-hot coal, even without the coal, you would definitely get same result if you have an oven with grill compartment.

Ingredients (Dough)

*Beef (1KG)
*2 cubes of knorr
*1 medium Onion
*Salt to Taste
*Ground dried pepper (optional if you don't like pepper)
* sticks (optional)
*vegetable oil (100ml)
*Griller
*Tomato (sliced but optional)

once all this recipe is complete, then we can proceed.

You start by Wash the beef properly and slice it into thin fillets, you can easily do this with a sharp kitchen knife. You can see the picture below.but If you are going to be using chicken, you don't need to slice, you just need to apply the spices on the chicken, you don’t need to slice into fillet as is the case with beef.
Now, you transfer 5 spoons of the spice in a very clean dry plate and add 2 cubes of knorr alongside with half teaspoon of salt to it, mix them properly together and set aside. You may need to taste to ascertain that it taste nice.
Now, stake the beef on the sticks and then sprinkle the mixed spice all around it, sprinkle evenly on both sides of the beef/meat and commence with the grilling part.

Make sure to use a kitchen brush to rob the vegetable oil on the beef before grilling; this usually helps the grilling process. Apply more of the spices. Grill your beef using the local or electric griller. You can decide to use your kitchen oven if it have grilling compartment. I actually used my kitchen oven

You would have to turn the beef every ten minutes while it grills, after twenty minutes, you may need to apply more of the spices/vegetable oil again. And then grill for another 20 minutes and you just made yourself suya! Serve with onions, pepper, cabbage, tomatoes,

That is how to make suya in Nigeria. I believe you would be able to prepare yours with this recipe. I would be so delighted to learn how it turn out.
