Good day fellow steemians!

How are you? I hope you are doing well.

  • This afternoon , I wanted to share a recipe how to prepare delicious siomai.

Siomai has been one of my comfort food. It is been said that the Chinese people started the preparation of siomai.

What are the ingredients and how to prepare it?

Here are the ingredients:

  • 1/2 Ground pork
  • 1/2 cup of Onions ( minced)
  • 1/2 cup of carrots (minced)
  • 1/2 cup of spring onions
  • 2 beaten Eggs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • a pinch of black pepper
  • 3 tsp of sesame oil
  • Siomai wrapper

For the dipping sauce

  • Chili flakes (based on your preference)
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • Calamsi

Procedures:

  1. Prepare all the ingredients.
  2. Start with mixing all the ingredients except for the siomai wrapper.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Place small amount of the mixture to the siomai wrapper. ( Make sure to place it at the center of the wrapper, leaving a space at the top for wrapping.)
  5. Wrap the siomai properly.
  6. Place the siomai products to the steamer .
  7. Steam it for 20-30 minutes.
  8. Serve it with the dipling sauce.
  9. Serve it while hot. Enjoy!
