Wheat Arepas ❤

Let's start ...

📌Ingredients:

➤ 3 cups of wheat flour.
➤1 cup of warm water.
➤ 2 tablespoons butter or margarine.
➤ 2 spoons of sugar.
➤ 1 pinch of salt.
➤ 1 egg.
➤Spoon 1 teaspoon baking powder or baking soda.

📌 Preparation:

First we proceed to heat the water, until a warm temperature is reached. Then, with a spoon, the means, the 2 tablespoons of butter, place them in the cup, the measuring cup and the minutes, the cup in the microwave, 40 seconds, until the product melts.

We look for a dry container and add the wheat flour together with the sugar, salt and baking powder. Then we make a hole in the center of the flour in the form of a volcano and then add the butter and the egg. We mix

Little by little the warm water is added and mixing at the same time, to obtain a homogeneous mixture and that does not stick on the fingers. Knead very well until the lumps disappear to find the softness. Then we make a ball with the dough and let it drop an ambient temperature inside the container by covering it with a cloth of the same amount for 1 hour.

Then we make balls with the dough and proceed to a ball with a roller to achieve a crushed circular shape to a thickness of approximately 1 centimeter.

You can poke the arepas with a fork to let the air flow and not to inflate so much.

Finally, heat a plate or budare, and when hot, place the arepas and brown on both sides.

By being ready, you start serving.
