Foodie Junkie #3: Bao Makers 🍔

Hey guys 🤤 I'm back with my favourite cafe at the moment! Can't wait to share it with you guys 😬

So Bao Makers is a unique cafe where they have steamed buns but with a kick! Not the type of buns you're thinking about 😏 totally not the chinese steamed ones. They also have the usual pastas, coffees and cakes that a usual cafe would have, but the main star of this post are the BAO's!!

It is located 78 Horne Road, Singapore 209078
Nearest MRT station is Lavender, roughly 10-15 minutes walk
Opening hours: Monday-Friday 12pm - 10pm
Saturday 11am - 10pm
Sunday 11am - 6pm

The ambience is very minimalistic, partially self-serviced.

Okay here goes the good stuff 🤤🤤

(6 out of 10) This is the beef steak rice bowl. Can't say I really love this but the marinate is really good but maybe I got the tough part of the beef, so I couldn't chew my beef properly and had to spit it out which is like ???? huh sooooo 😐

(8 out of 10) This is the crabmeat aglio olio. Really generous with the crabmeat you can see. I'd prefer it a bit more spicy and more garlic as it was quite plain, but nevertheless still good!!

(** 100 out of 100**) THIS IS BOMB.COM! We ordered the salmon mentaiko bao and the belly of pork bao! OOOOOOOO LEMME TELL U GURL the salmon mentaiko was just heaven!! The salmon was deep friend and so damn crispy and the mentaiko sauce they have is just beyond this world. Not the usual mentaiko that you get in regular sushis but it's waaaay tastier!!!! Definitely going back here just to eat this! Literally can't stop thinking about it a week after eating this 😂

Ambience: 9/10
Accessibility: 7/10 would probs uber there next time..
Service: 10/10 super nice staff!
Taste: 9/10

Will I revisit: DEFINITELY YEAH for that salmon mentaiko bao 🤤 and I'd like to try the rest of the baos soon!
